Single Electron Bonding :-

  • According to Sidgwick “ it is not compulsory two electron participate in bonding only one electron participate in bonding and form single covalent bond .
  • it is denoted by \large{ \bold{\rightharpoonup}} [half arrow]

P = 15

Electronic configuration is 2 , 8 , 5

And Cl = 17

Electronic configuration is 2 , 8 , 7
