"Single purpose processor" is most related to Application Specific Integreated Circuit (ASIC). There are other processors that also haveonly one purpose, such as microcontrollers (MCUs), Field ProgrammableGate Arrays (FPGA) or Complex ProgrammableLogic Device (CPLD).
