It is 8 MW small hydro project located in Sonebhadra district of Uttar Pradesh. The project comprises of two units of 4 MW each. The project will utilize hydro potential in Condenser Cooling Water (CW) discharge channel at the existing Singrauli Thermal Power Station. The estimated cost of the project is INR 62.87 Crore

Singrauli hydro power plant is located in Shakti Nagar in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

It is a small power plant which has a capacity of 8 megawatt and gets the water from Rihand Reservoir.

Along with the hydro power plant a solar power plant has also been set up at the same location which has a capacity of 15 megawatt.

It is the first power plant setup by NTPC and various states like Haryana, Uttaranchal, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and a few areas of Delhi union territory are gainibg advantage from the power plant.

The Jayant and Bina mines are the sources from where this power plant get its coal.
