Sinhala speaking people were getting more facilities in Sri Lanka. Explain

This is because the Sinhala people were in majority and so they overtook the govt.
They preferred Majoritarian policy.
Preferential policy was also introduced which gave special status to Sinhala people.
The minority castes were ignored as well as their wishes and needs.
Those who qualified in Sinhalese were offered more jobs than others.
That is why, Sinhala people got more facilities in
Sri Lanka.

The Sinhala speakers of Sri Lanka were in majority (74%), therefore they had their dominance over the country.
1. as a result they adopted a series of Majoritatian to measures to establish supremacy.
2. in 1956, and Act was passed to recognise Sinhala as the only official language.
3. sinhalas were favoured for university positions and gov. jobs.
4. they stipulated that the state shall protect and foster Buddhism
