sin Q - cos Q= 0

sin Q = cos Q--------- I

sin²Q = cos² Q

1- cos²Q = cos ²Q ( sin²Q= 1- cos²Q)

1= 2 cos²Q

cos²Q= 1/2-------------II

from eq I

sin²Q= 1/2-------------III

» sin⁴Q + cos⁴Q (as a²+b²=(a+b) ²-2ab

» (sin²Q + cos²Q)² - 2 sin²Q cos²Q

» 1²- 2 sin²Q cos²Q

from eq II and III

» 1 - 2 ×1/2×1/2

» 1-1/2

» 2/2-1/2

» 1/2 is your answer
