2tanθ + (cosθ)^2 = 5/2

● Explaination-
We have here,
sinθ = cosθ
sinθ = sin(90-θ)

Taking inverse on both sides,
θ = 90-θ
2θ = 90
θ = 45°

For given problem,
2tanθ + (cosθ)^2 = 2×1 + (1/√2)^2
2tanθ + (cosθ)^2 = 2 + 1/2
2tanθ + (cosθ)^2 = 5/2
