Sinx+cosx=√2sinx So;cosx=√2sinx-sinx Now cosx=sinx(√2-1) So cosx/sinx =√2-1….........(1) But since we know that ; Tanx=sinx/cosx So from eq1 we get Sinx/cosx=1/√2-1 Now by rationalising the denominator we have; Tanx=1/(√2-1) *√2+1/√2+1 Now we get √2+1/2-1 So ANSWER IS (√2+1)
