Let the total money be x

18% of x = 11,430

x= 63500

Given :  a family spent 25% on Food 20% on education 15% on clothes 12% on parties 10% on travelling and saves the remaining 18%.

they save Rs 11430

To Find : how much money was spent on education clothes and food together

Solution :

Spend on food  = 25 %

Spend of Education = 20 %

Spend on clothes = 15 %

Spend of Parties = 12 %

Spend on Travelling = 10 %

Saving = 18 %

Total = 100 %

spent on education clothes and food together = (20 + 15 + 25) %

= 60 %

18 %   =  11430

=> 1 %  = 11430/18

=> 60 %  = 60 *  11430/18

= 114300/3

= 38100

money was spent on education clothes and food together =   Rs 38100
