Prepositions - These are the words which indicates and suggests that where the object is ie shows the positions.

The words like in , on , under , below, above , near , besides , behind,over etc words are included in the prepositions.

Example - 1. Kshitij is sitting on the sofa.

• Here , you can see 'on' is suggesting the position.

2. The crow is flying above the river.

• Here, you can see that ' above ' is suggesting ie showing the position of where the crow is flying.
