Exception is considered as the one which does not fulfill the 1 or 2 characteristics as shown by the others of its own group.

For example:- mammals give birth to young ones,
But platypus lay eggs but is also a mammal.Hence it is considered as an exception.

P.S:-Biology is considered as a science of exceptions.
