Answer:

1. Ramesh got 84m² of land, 2. Ram got 30m² of land, 3. Ram got less land , to make equal lands 54m² more area of land is to be occupied from rectangular field.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: three lands - 2 triangular and one rectangular.

Sita ram distributes the lands among his two sons - Ram and Ramesh equally.

first trianglular land for Ramesh with sides-13m,14m,15m.

second trianglular land for Ram with sides- 12m,5m.

rectanglular land with area 160m²².

To find:

1. how much area Ramesh got?

2.how much area Ram got?

3.who got less land and how much more he should get from rectangular area?

Solution:

1. the first triangle is of scalene triangle ( all sides are different measure)

to find the area we use Heron's formula .

Area of triangle = \sqrt{s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)} ,s, semiperimeter=( a+b+c)/2

a,b,care the sides.

here a=13m, b= 15m, c= 14m.

s= (13+14+15)/2 = 42/2 = 21m

area of first triangular land = \sqrt{21(21-15)(21-14)(21-13)}

                                             = \sqrt{21(6)(7)(8)}

                                             = \sqrt{7056}

                                             = 84m².

The area of land Ramesh got =84m².

2. second triangle is a right angled triangle.

the area of second triangular land = 1/2 ×base ×height

                                                          =1/2×5×12

                                                          = 5×6

                                                          = 30m².

The area of land Ram got = 30m².

3. Ram got less land .

Area of rectangular land=160m².

So to get equal land for Ramesh and Ram, 84-30=54m² of more land is to be taken from rectangular land.

Therefore, in order to get equal land, 54m² of more land  is to be occupied from rectangular land.
