The site where meiosis occurs in flowering plants is the reproductive structures like sporangia.

Additional Information :

1. We can see meiosis occuring in sporangia so that they can produce haploid structures called spores which acts as gametes.

2. To form or produce gametes, meiosis process is required so that gamete becomes haploid in nature.

3. It is necessary for the gametes to be haploid because after fusion of 2 gametes they will combine to produce a diploid progeny.
