Dear diary,
Today I witnessed a very strange incident. I was invited by my science teacher Sivasubramanium Iyer to his house for dinner. I was a little bit nervous as he was from a Hindu family and I was from a muslim family. But still I went to his house.
As soon as I entered his house, I had a very warm welcome. I, My science teacher and her wife talked a lot together. I started to leave. But then My science teacher stopped me and told me to have dinner. I agreed.
I sat down. My science teacher went into the kitchen to tell his wife for serving food to us. But unfortunately, I heard that my science teacher's wife refused to serve me dinner. Then, my science teacher himself came and served me food. I told I didn't want to eat the food becuase it created so much trouble for them. He consoled me and said, " When You set to change the system, these things are ought to happen."
Those words were very inspiring for me. And after hearing those words, I ate the food with contentment. After that incident, I have taken this pledge to cut the social evils just like Mr. Sivasubramanium Iyer.
