Let the required number be x,

Given in the question that 6 added to thrice the required number gives 33,

Converting the theory in equation,

=> 3x + 6 = 33

=> 3x = 33 - 6

=> 3x = 27

 =  > x =  \frac{27}{3}  \\  \\  =  > x = 9

Hence, Number required here is 9
