Six differencies between manure and fertilizer
Answers
Manure is a natural substance obtained by the decomposition of plant and animals.
Manure is rich in humus.
makes the soil porous and increases the water holding capacity.
Chemical fertilizers are inorganic salts produced in factories.
Chemical fertilizer do not contain humus.
chemical fertilizers make the soil acidic and hard(Less porous)
MANURE :-
1. it's an organic compound made from animal and plant waste.
2. manure can be prepared in fields.
3. microbes are needed for it's preparation to degrade organic substance.
4. manure helps to enrich the soil and also increases and maintain soil fertility.
5. it's difficult to transport.
6. manures are also difficult to store and apply to crops.
7. it restores soil structure.
8. manures also increases water holding capacity of he soil and amount of air trapped in soil.
FERTILIZERS :-
1. fertilizers are i concentrated form prepared using chemicals.
2. it's manufactured in industries.
3. microbes are not required for it's production.
4. continuous use of fertilizers can decrease soil fertility.
5. it's easy to transport.
6. fertilizers are easy to store and apply to crops.
7. fertilizers don't restore soil texture.
8. it do not improve water holding capacity of soil and also don't improve the amount of trapped air in soil.
