Number of flower beds = 6

Each side measure = 1 m

Area of 1 flower bed = 1 x 1 = 1 m^2

Area of 6 flower beds = 1 x 6 = 6 m^2

Area of piece of land = l x b

= 5 m x 4 m

= 20 m^2

Area of remaining part of the land=20 - 6

=14 m^2
