Six men can complete a work in 12 days. Two days later,6 more men joined them .how many days will they take to complete the remaining work

In six days the work completed is 12*6 = 72 man-days of work. What remains to be done is 216–72 = 144 man-days of work. So if 4 more men are added the work force becomes 16 man, strong.

So the remaining work can be completed in 144 man-days / 16 men = 9 days.

So the work will be completed in 6 + 9 or 15 days from the start or 9 days after the additional 4 men have reported for work.
