Six numbers a, b, c, d, e and f are such that b a = c b = d c = e d = f e ba=cb=dc=ed=fe. If b = 0.4, d = 1.6 and e = 3.2, then the value of (a + c + e) – (b + d + f) is answer

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

the given condition is b/a=c/b=d/c=e/d=f/e=k (let)

now we need a,c,e so

b/a=d/c=f/e=b+d+f/a+c+e =e/d = k  ( proportionality concept)

now (a+c+e)-(b+d+f)

a+c+e(1- b+d+f/a+c+e)            (   k=e/d=3.2/1.6=2)

( b/k +d/k+e)  (1-k)                    and also we can write

  b+d/k+e (1-2)                                             a=b/k  and c=d/k

-(.4+1.6)/2+3.2

- (1+3.2)= -4.2
