Six square flower beds each of sides 1m are dug on a piece of land 6m long and 5m wide.
What is the area of the remaining part of land?

Answer:

area of land= 5 x 6=30m2

1 bed area=1x1=1m2

6 bed=6m2

area left=30-6=24m2
