Six years ago the age of a person was two years more than five times the age of his son four years hence his age will be two years less than three times age of his son

Let the age of father be x years
Let the age of son be y years
X-6=5(y-6)+2
X-5y=-22
X+4=3(y+4)-2
X-3y=6
On solving we get x=48 and y=14

Six years ago age of person was two more than five times age of his son and four years hence his age will be two years less than three times age of his son.Find the present ages of son and the person?

Let age of son be x years

Let age of man be y years

Six years ago man age =y-6 years

Son age =x-6 years

Acc.to question condition

(y-6)=5(x-6)+2

Age of son 4 years hence =x+4 year

Man age =y+4 years

Acc to condition

y+4=3(x+4)-2

On solving we have

Son present age =14 yrs

Man present age =48yrs
