Answer:
Let,
son's age was=x
mother's age=x.x
3 years hence,
son's age= x+9
mother's age= x.x +9
A.T.Q,
x.x+9= 3(x+9)
........
By calculating, we got x= 6 and -3; -3 is not taken because age can't be negative .
Now,
Present age of son is= x+6= 6+6=12[x=6]
Present age of mom is= x.x+6= 36+6=42
