Structure: Unlike Skeletal andCardiac muscle tissue, Smoothmuscle is not striated. Smoothmuscle fibers are small and tapered - with the ends reducing in size, in contrast to the cylindrical shape of skeletal muscle. Each smooth muscle fiber has a single centrally located nucleus.

Striated muscles have cylindrical shape and they are coenocytic in nature and has striated appearance. Due to alternate dark and light band. And size depends upon the area it covers. Like gluteus maximus is the largest striated in our body.
