GiveN:-

Size of a square field's each side is of 70 m. The farmer has to level field. Rate of levelling the field is 15 per m².

To FinD:-

The cost of levelling the field.

Solution:-

We are given the measure of each side of square. So we have to find the area of the square. After finding the area of the square we have multiply the area with the cost per m² to find the cost of the levelling of the field.

First the area of the square :

We know that if we are given the side of the square we have the required formula to find the area of the square is,

Area of square = (side)²

where,

  • side = 70 m

Substituting the values in the required formula,

⇒Area of square = (side)²

⇒Area of square = (70)²

⇒Area of square = 70 × 70

Area of square = 4900 m².

Now the cost of levelling the field :

We are the given cost of levelling the field per m² = ₹ 15

So,

If we are asked to find the cost of levelling the whole field and cost per m² & area of the field is given then our required formula is,

Cost of levelling the entire field = Cost per m² × area of the field

where,

  • Cost per m² = 15
  • Area of the field = 4900 m²

Substituting the values in the required formula,

⇒Cost of levelling the entire field = Cost per m² × area of the field

⇒Cost of levelling the entire field = ₹ 15 × 4900

⇒Cost of levelling the entire field = ₹ (15 × 4900)

Cost of levelling the entire field = 73500 m².

The cost of levelling the field at a rate of 15 per m² is 73500.

GivEn:

  • Each side of square = 70m
  • Rate of levelling field ( square) = ₹15/m²

To finD :

  • Cost required to level the field at the given price.

Solution :

To find the cost of levelling the field, we need the area of that field first. So, first of all finding area of field.

Finding area of field :

Given field is in the shape of square, so the required formula is :-

Formula using :-

Area of square = (side)²

Now, to find area, substitute values in formula :

Substituting values in formula :

Area of square = side²

⇒Area of square = 70²

⇒Area of square = 4900m²

So, the area of square = 4900m²

Now, we found that area of square is 4900m². Let finding cost of levelling :-

Finding cost of levelling the field :

To find it, we have to multiply the area of field with the given cost. Required formula is as :

Formula using :-

Cost of levelling = area of field × rate of levelling per m²

⇒Cost of levelling = 4900 × 15

⇒Cost of levelling = 73500

⇒Cost of levelling = ₹ 73500

So, cost of levelling the field is 73500
