Armando Gonzalez plays the role of main character and he is the protagonist of the story there .The story introduces as a poor and honest man who used to work in a small shoe ,shop but he had to feed and cloth i.e. looked after a big family of nine members .His wife Eva was also

industrious .She also earned money .To specific both husband and wife devoted their life and worked sincerely for 20 years .This saved fifthy thousand pesos .

Although Armando was poor .He was sincere and dutiful towards his profession .He made every effort to serve his family and fufil the basic needs and requirements .However, Being and uneducated man, Armando was not much aware of new changes and modern facilities.He was an honest and good person.But he suspected everyone to be dishonest and crook.He was less confident .He couldn’t analized anything getting into the depth .Instead ,He would becomes frightened immediately and cry like a small helpness child.
