Graph of sinx is clear
so now to draw graph of sin2x we jst press the graph from right because whatever value of sinx was producing that will be produced now at half of that x.

now to draw the graph of sin(2x-1) we just shift it by 1/2 on right because if we increase 1/2 in x than one will increase in 2 x and since there is -1 so it will be cancel .

so just shift it by half on right
now since x is multiple of 2 then the magnitude will also be doubled .

Answer:

First, note that

x

2

=

(

2

sin

t

)

2

=

4

sin

2

t

x2=(2sint)2=4sin2t

so the first surface checks out. Next,

x

2

+

4

y

2

=

(

2

sin

t

)

2

+

4

(

cos

t

)

2

=

4

(

sin

2

t

+

cos

2

t

)

=

4

x2+4y2=(2sint)2+4(cost)2=4(sin2t+cos2t)=4

so the parametric equations do describe the intersection of the given surfaces. Whoever assigned this problem most likely wants us to start with the plots of the surfaces, and literally trace their intersection. Doing so, we end up with the curve below.
