y = tan x

dy/dx = sec²x

y' = sec²x

when x = π/4, tanπ/4 = 1

so, at the point (π/4,1)

slope is sec²x = sec²π/4 = 2 =m

so equation is y= mx+c

1 = 2π/4 +c

c= 1- 2π/4 = (2-π)/2

so, tangent equation is

y = 2x + (2-π)/2

tiger168: sorry I am new to brainly so I didn't knew what that mean
tiger168: and there is no option in this question
tiger168: it is in terms of tan
NeelamG: slope (m) = dy/dx
NeelamG: it is the formula
NeelamG: i want to tell u one thing
NeelamG: when u found formula ,procedure or ans wrong u can report it
NeelamG: so, tell me my ans help.u or not
tiger168: yes it did
NeelamG: okay :)
