Let O be the origin.

: . O(0,0)= (x1, y1)

Let A(7,-2)=(x2, y2)

So,

Given:

1) O(0,0)=(x1, y1)

2) A(7,-2)=(x2, y2)

To Find:

Slope of line passing through the given points

Solution:

Slope of a line=y2-y1/x2-x1......

Here, x1=0, y1=0

x2=7 and y2= -2

Slope Of line OA=-2-0/7-0

=-2/7

Therefore, The slope of line passing through the origin and (7, -2) is -2/7.
