Answer:

x = (-5a-ab+b)/4a

y = (3b-3a+ab)/4b

Step-by-step explanation:

2(ax-by) + (a+ab) = 0

2ax - 2by + a + ab = 0

2ax - 2by = -a(1 + b)

ax - by = (-a-ab)/2 ......................(i)

2(bx+ay) + (b-4a) = 0

2(ax+by) = b-4a

ax + by = (b-4a)/2 .......................(ii)

Add (i) and (ii),

2ax = (-a-ab+b-4a)/2

x = (-5a-ab+b)/4a

Put x in (ii),

a(-5a-ab+b)/4a + by = (b-4a)/2

by = (b-4a)/2 - (-5a-ab+b)/4

by = (2b-8a+5a+ab+b)/4

y = (3b-3a+ab)/4b

And, that's how you do it!
