Step-by-step explanation:

5/x+6y=13, 3/x+4y=7

Consider 1/x = p & y = q;

SO we'll get 5p+6q=13 ( equation no 1)

3p+4q=7 ( equation no 2)

15p+18q=39 when multiply by 3 (equation no1)

15p+20q=35 when multiply by 5 (equation no2)

By solving this we'll get q = -2

Substitute q value in equation no 1,

5p+6q=13

5p+6( -2)=13

5p-12=13

5p=13+12

5p=25

p=25/5

p=5

Now q= -2 & p= 5,

and we have 1/x=p , y = q

1/x=p =5 , y= q= -2

1/x=5 , y= -2

5x=1

x= 1/5

ANSWER is x= 1/5 & y= -2 where x is not equal to 0
