Here's the solution :

 \sqrt{6} x + 7 - (2x - 7) = 0 \\ </strong><strong>\</strong><strong>\</strong></p><p><strong> \implies \sqrt{6} x + 7 - 2x + 7 = 0 \\ </strong><strong>\</strong><strong>\</strong><strong> \implies \sqrt{6} x - 2x + 14 = 0 </strong><strong>\</strong><strong>\</strong><strong>\\  \implies \sqrt{6} x - 2x =   -  14 </strong><strong>\</strong><strong>\</strong><strong>\\  \implies \: 2x - \sqrt{6}x  =   14 \\ </strong><strong>\</strong><strong>\</strong><strong> \implies \: x(2 -  \sqrt{6} ) = 14 </strong><strong>\</strong><strong>\</strong><strong>\\  \implies \: x =  \frac{14}{2 -  \sqrt{6} }
