Answer:

2x +3y= -2

x = (-2-3y)/2 --(i)

4x-3y =14 --(ii)

Put the value of x from equation (i) in equation (ii)

we get,

4(-2-3y)/2 -3y = 14

2(-2-3y) -3y = 14

-4 -6y -3y = 14

-9y = 14+4

y = 18/-9

y = -2

Put the value of y in equation (ii)

we get,

4x -3(-2) = 14

4x +6 = 14

4x = 14-6

4x = 8

x = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

So the value of x is 2 and the value of y is -2 by substitution Method
