x/2 - 4/5 + x/5 + 3x/10 = 1/5
By changing all the denominators on the left side of the equation to 10,
5x/10 - 8/10 + 2x/10 + 3x/10 = 1/5
(5x - 8 + 2x + 3x)/10 = 1/5
(10x - 8)/10 = 1/5
Then move the 10 from the left side over to the other side of the equation,
10x - 8 = 1/5 × 10
