Step-by-step explanation:

2x + y - 12 = 0 (equation I)

3x - y - 13 = 0 (equation II)

(equation I) x 3 => 6x + 3y - 36 = 0 (equation III)

(equation II) x 2 => 6x - 2y - 26 = 0 (equation IV)

(equation III) - (equation IV) => 5y - 10 = 0

=> y = 2

Again,

(equation I) => 2x + y - 12 = 0

=> 2x + 2 - 12 = 0

=> 2x + 2 = 12

=> x = 5
