Given:-

  • Solve the given equation 17x= (-85)

To find:-

  • Value of x.

Solution:-

  • \huge\bold{=>17x=(-85)}

  • \huge\bold{=>x=(-85)/17}

  • \huge\bold{=>x=(-5)}

hey mate! value of x is (-5).

Varifying:-

  • \huge\bold{=>17×(-5)=(-85)}

  • \huge\bold{=>(-85)=(-85)}

  • \huge\bold{=>1=1}

{\mathtt{\huge{\red{\underline{L.H.S.=R.H.S.}}}}}

hence verified!

________________________________________________

✔ we know that to find value of any quantity which is not exactly given we form an equation and while forming it the constants too are on L.H.S. and some variable on R.H.S so as the rule is that R.H.S must only contain constants and L.H.S. only variables.

This is why we solve an equation and while solving we move the variables and constants to there correct places but for that too there are rules .

Know about the rules by reading down↓:-

_____________________________________________

  • If there is plus sign before a constant on L.H.S. it will be moved to R.H.S. and the sign will become minus.
  • If there is minus it will become plus.
  • If it's multiplication then it will become division.
  • And if it's division it will become multiplication.

Read the below table↓

  • L.H.S. (+)=R.H.S.(-)
  • L.H.S.(-)= R.H.S.(+)
  • L.H.S. (÷)=R.H.S.(×)
  • L.H.S.(×)=R.H.S.(÷).

Hope it helped!
