hey!!!

your answer is here...

we have to verify whether -(-x) = x or not.

(i) given x = 2/15

LHS :-

= -(-x)
= -(-2/15)
= 2/15 ( as we know that - and - = + )

RHS = x = 2/15

hence, LHS = RHS

(ii) given x = -13/17

LHS :-

= -(-x)
= -[-(-13/7)]
= -(13/7)
= -13/7

RHS = x = 13/7

hence, LHS = RHS

cheers!!!
