(a) 9pq

= 9 (-4) (1)

= -36

(b)

p {}^{2}  - q {}^{2}

( - 4) {}^{2}  - (1 {}^{2} )

= 16 - 1

= 15

(c)

2p {}^{2}  + 7pq + q {}^{2}

2( - 4) {}^{2}  + 7( - 4)(1) + (1) {}^{2}

32 + ( - 28) + 1

33 - 28

5

(d)

 \frac{(p + q)}{(p - q)}

 \frac{( - 4 + 1)}{( - 4 - 1)}

 \frac{ - 3}{ - 5}

 \text\color{green}{Question}

p² - q² (if p = -4 and q = 1)

 \text\color{purple}{Answer}

(-4)² - (1)² = (-4 +1) (-4 -1) = -3 × -5 = 15

《Identity Used : a² - b² = (a+b)(a-b)》

 \text\color{green}{Question}

2p² + 7pq + q² (if p = -4 and q = 1)

 \text\color{purple}{Answer}

2(-4)(-4) + 7(-4)(1) + (1)²

= 32 - 28 + 1 = 5

 \text\color{green}{Question}

 {\frac{p + q}{p - q}} (if p = -4 and q = 1)

 \text\color{purple}{Answer}

 {\frac{-4 + 1}{-4 -1}} =  {\frac{-3}{-5}} =  {\frac{3}{5}}
