x^2+x+1=0
D=discriminant
D=(1-4(1)(1))
D<0
So for any value of x the equation is always positive
Now, by formula to find roots of quadratic equation we have,
x=[(-1)±{(1-4(1)(1)}^(1/2)]/2(1)
x=[-1±{(-3)}^(1/2)]/2

Step-by-step explanation:
use b^2-4ac
1^2-4×1×1
-3
x=-b+-b^2-4ac÷2^1/2
x=-1+-(-3)÷2^1/2
x=-1+3÷2^1/2 or=-1-(-3)÷2^1/2
x=2^1/2 orx=x=1^1/2
x=2^1/2 orx=1
