Hey mate!!

Here's your answer...

x²+6x-7=0

x²+6x=7

x²+6x+9=7+9       (adding 9 on both sides)

(x+3)²=16

x+3= ±4

x+3= 4    or    x+3= -4

x= 4-3     or  x= -4-3

x= 1         or    x= -7

Therefore, x= 1 or x= -7

Hope it helped you...

Question :

  • Solve x²+6x-7=0 quadratic equations by completing square method

To Find :

  • Value of x

Solution :

  \tt  \implies {x}^{2}  + 6x - 7 = 0 \\  \\   \tt  \implies {x}^{2}  + 6x = 7 \\  \\   \tt  Adding \: 9 \: both \: side \\  \\   \tt  \implies {x}^{2}  + 6x + 9 = 7 + 9 \\  \\   \tt  \implies {(x + 3)}^{2}  = 16 \\  \\   \tt  \implies x + 3 =  \sqrt{16}  \\  \\   \tt  \implies x + 3 =  \pm4 \\  \\   \tt  \implies x + 3 = 4 \:  \:  \: \tt or \:  \:  \: x + 3 =  - 4 \\  \\ \large \boxed{ \tt \blue{ x = 1 }}\:  \:  \: \tt or \:  \:  \: \boxed {\tt \green{ x =  - 7}}
