because if we add water in acid it can be exothermic reaction causing spurting of the acid and breaking of beaker

that is why acid is added to water by constant stirring and not water to acid

Amrishpal: how it becomes exothermic please can you tell me
SukhdeepSingh: because heat is liberated when acid is added to water
Amrishpal: oh thanks
SukhdeepSingh: thanx
SukhdeepSingh: for following
Amrishpal: its okay bro

If we add water in acid it can become an exothermic reaction( as it produces heat ) causing spurting of the acid and the beaker have the chances of breaking and spilling all over .
