Everyone should read books be­cause “they are our friends in loneli­ness.” Good books can improve one’s character. Books are of great help to us. They are written on various sub­jects. I am also fond of reading books. My favourite book is “Panchatantra.” It is written by Vishnu Sharma. In this book the roles of kings, ministers and common men are acted by birds and animals. It is a collection of stories. These- stories teach moral lessons to children. They have been translated into various Indian and foreign lan­guages. I like this book very much. I think that every child should read this book and gain some moral values. I also like to read other books.
