Given: Dimensions of herbarium:

l = 30 cm, b = 25 cm, h = 25 cm

i) Area of the glass=Total surface area of herbarium

 = 2(lb + bh + lh)

= 2(30×25 + 25×25 + 25×30)

= 2(750+625+750)

=2×2125

= 4250cm²

(ii) herbarium in in the shape of cuboid.

So Length of the required tape will be equal to total length of edges of cuboid.

Length of the tape= 4(l + b + h)

= 4(30 + 25 + 25) = 4× 80

= 320 cm.

Tape needed for all the 12 edges=320 cm

Given :  {\sf{l = 30 cm}}

  •  {\sf{b = 25 cm}}

  •  {\sf{h = 25 cm}}

i) What is the area of the glass?

Area of glass = 2(lb + bh + lh)

 {\sf{= 2(30\times25+25\times25+25\times30}}

 {\sf{= 2(750+625+750}}

 {\sf{ = 2(2125)}}

 {\sf{\blue{= 4250\:{cm}^{2}}}}

ii) How much of tape is needed for all the 12 edges?

Length of tape =  {\sf\blue{4(l + b + h) }}

 {\sf{= 4(30+25+25)}}

 {\sf{= 4(80)}}

 {\sf\blue{=320 cm}}
