actually small intestine has villi just because of absorption , villi provides a large surface area to small intestine and on the other hand stomach doesn't absorb anything and that why it doesn't have villi...

Villi are small,finger-like structures in the intestine. These structures are meant for increasing the surface area for absorption. In stomach the primary steps of digestion take place.Rest digestion occurs in the small intestine.Hence the process of absorption does not start in stomach. Absorption of nutrients like carbohydrates, amino acids, lipids, minerals and vitamins take place in the small intestine. Absorption of water takes place in the large intestine. Therefore, villi are not present in the stomach but present in the instestines.
