Small intestine is a part of our Digestive System and it is the largest gland where the digestion of food get completed.
The length of small intestine is about 6.5 metres (but at some places it is given that length is 6 metres). The length of small intestine varies in different animals depending on their feeding habits. eg. cellulose is digested with difficulty because it is a carbohydrate. So in animals which eat it, the length of small intestine is larger whereas in meat eating, the small intestine is very small.

The length of small intestine is about 6.5 metres
though,
it can vary 
greatly, from as short as 2.75 m (9.0 ft) to as long as 10.49 m (34.4 ft)
The small intestine is divided into three structural parts.
duodenum
jejunum 
 ileum
