Small intestine is comparitively longer in herbivores while shorter in carnivores. Why ?

it is because, for digesting cellulose, long small intestine is required as cellulose is more complex than meat

Herbivores eating grass need a longer small intestine to allow the cellulose to be digested. Whereas Meat is easier to digest, hence carnivores like tiger have shorter small intestine.
