“ Small Pain in My Chest” is a modern anti-war poem. Show how the poem highlights the horrors of war and the soldier’s agony on the battle field. How does the poem make an impact on the conscience of humanity?

In this poem, the storyteller meets a diminishing officer who regardless of grave wounds has a grin to conceal his profound injury. The fighter had battled the fight anxiously and imparted his encounters to the storyteller. The anguish of the trooper has damaged the storyteller who later dies of with a little pain in his chest. 
This poem is an against war ballad which shows us the reactions of war and the outcomes it has appeared in the lives of individuals. Henceforth, encouraging us to comprehend the genuine desolation of individuals required in a war which had never offered bliss to individuals or the countries battling it.
