By the end of the experiment there had been a realization for the effects that occur once a landslide has taken place. By testing the experiment through two common factors of heavy precipitation and the steepness of the slope, the end result had showed how much influence each factor had when movement takes place on the higher leveled land.
It is obvious that landslides have become a very serious problem, especially in Washington and other coastal regions of the United States, and although landslides can occur as a result of natural processes, many of these landslides can be avoided with proper planning and the implementation of different timber harvest techniques.
