We need find

Current ( I ) & Potential Difference across 12ohm resistor ( V )

Now, Let's find the current in the circuit

Here,

Potential Difference across the circuit = 2 + 2 + 2

= 6V

Since the resistors are in series

Let's find equivalent resistance

R = R1 + R2 + R3

= 5ohm + 8ohm + 12ohm

R = 25 ohms

By Ohm's law, we get,

V = IR

V/R = I

I = V/R

I = 6/25 A

I = 0.24A

Now let's find the potential difference across 12ohm resistor

In series the current flow will be the same.

So,

I = 6/25A

R = 12ohm

Again by Ohm's law,

V = IR

V = 6/25 * 12

V = 72/25

V = 2.88V

Therefore, the reading shown by

Ammeter is 0.24A

Voltmeter is 2.88V
