Smoke is caused when a product is burnt like woods being burnt to create bornfire or products are reacted with fire to produce smoke.

Fog on the other hand is caused when the water droplet or humidity reacts with this smoke. And then, the next day, we see smog at the ground level to such an extent, we couldnt see things too far off.

Smoke – Smoke is mixture of gases and can goes to higher altitudes because of having more temperature.

Fog – Fog is mixture of liquid and gases. Fog is settled near the earth surface because of less temperature.
