Smoking increases unwanted blood clots in the body.

This happens due to increase of homocysteine levels in the body.

When the levels are increased it can damage the inner lining of arteres.

When the thickness of blood increases ,the blood flow between the arteries slows down which can cause major health issues which include heart attack .
