Dear Student,

◆ Answer -

Profit = 1058.52 Rs

◆ Explanation -

No of shares Smt Mita invested in are -

No of shares = total investment / MV of each share

No of shares = 10200 / 100

No of shares = 102 shares

When she sold 60 shares at Rs 125 -

Money recieved = 60 × 125

Money recieved = 7500 Rs

During sale of remaining 102-60 = 42 shares -

Money recieved = 42 × 90

Money recieved = 3780 Rs

Total brokerage for all tradings is -

Total brokerage = rate of brokerage × total value of trades

Total brokerage = 0.1/100 × (10200 + 7500 + 3780)

Total brokerage = 21.48 Rs

Gain/loss by Smt Mita will be -

Gain/loss = money received - money spent

Gain/loss =

Gain/loss = (7500+3780) - (10200+21.48)

Gain/loss = 1058.52 Rs

Therefore, Smt Mita will make a profit of 1058.52 Rs.

Hope this helps you...
